National Teen Read Week Blog Tour

So today TCWT is participating in a blog tour from Inklined, a fellow teen writer site, in honor of National Teen Read Week. The topic is anything about books and reading related. However, since I don’t have to ramble on about how important and awesome reading is (because if you don’t read or don’t like to read, why are you even writing?), I decided to post some book recommendations to get you started. I put out a call for recommendations of YA contemporary books, because I feel like I don’t mention those enough here, and the below are some of the ones my friends loved or I loved. Note that I’m not including the MEGA HUGE books, because I’m sure you’ve all already read/heard of those.
Enjoy!

Aaaand that’s my super-long book recommendation list. Believe me, I could make it much, much longer. I’ve been doing a lot of book recommendation posts recently, I know, and I promise (really, I do) that this is the last one for a while.
So, what are your favorite YA novels EVER? YA contemporary novels?

Mini-Announcement/Reminder: Our SUPER HUGE contest announcement is going up on Friday night/Saturday morning. I really think that this contest is going to be a great opportunity, and all you need to participate this time is a desire to write. You don’t need a finished manuscript or anything. (Also, as a teaser, I’ll tell you that at least one of the authors of the above recommendations is participating.. *hint hint nudge nudge* Also also: It involves short stories. And 10 awesome industry pros.)

Ahh! I love John Green! Stephanie Perkins is also nice since she creates characters that are fangirl-able (I made up that word). But overall, I think my favorite YA novel ever is The Fault in Our Stars.
Yeah! Totally agree. I really liked TFioS. John Green is a master.
Nice to know that I’m not the only one who has read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight!
My favorite YA novel ever… would have to be All Men Of Genius by Lev AC Rosen, which is amazing but sadly unheard of, perhaps because it’s so new. (I think it was published in 2011.) Oh well.
I’ve never heard of it, either. *looks it up on Goodreads* Thanks for the rec!
Some amazing covers there! Makes me want to read them all. Which is saying a lot because I’m more of a dystopian/fantasy/YA reader. Still, I really enjoyed *Fury* and *Preloved* by Shirley Marr.
I’ll have to check those out! And yeah, I love the covers too.
Weird how much I hated “The Sky is Everywhere.”
I’ve recently fallen in love with Sarah Dessen’s books, as well as John Green’s ones. In fantasy YA, it’s Eragon, Harry Potter, Ingo and His Dark Materials. The Catcher in the Rye is another one.
Ohh, nice recs! I’ve never read THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE, actually, but at least three people told me to put it on the list so I did.
