TCWT November 2012 Blog Chain

It’s time for a new blog chain prompt! Hooray! Hooray! (If you’re new and don’t know about the blog chain, read about it here. You may also submit prompt suggestions to host your own chain.)
This month’s chain is especially exciting, because it is the first blog chain hosted by a member of the community! The prompt has really intrigued me since I first read it, and I hope it will intrigue you all, too. Thus, I would like to introduce this month’s blog chain host, Kirsten , the fantastic teen writer and blogger over at Kirsten Writes. I recommend following her blog if you haven’t already. It rocks.
This month’s prompt is:
As anyone who reads (or writes) teen fiction knows, “Young Adult” covers a wide breadth of genres, from comedy to romance to horror. Should YA fiction be broken up into categories as adult fiction is?
In her own words, Kirsten says about the prompt: “Ah, the ever-present opinion question. TCWT has never really had a “debate” question before, and I think that it would be interesting to hear some opinions of some very opinionated people: teen writers and bloggers. This is also an issue every YA reader/writer can relate and respond to. Plus, at the end we can gather every conclusion and come to a consensus.”
How awesome is that? I’m really excited to see what you guys think about this, and your answer to the question. If you would like to sign up for the chain, comment below and we’ll give you a date to post on. Remember: The schedule will go up on the “Blog Chain” page on November 3rd, as there no longer is a group email.
