TCWT January 2012 Blog Chain

Update: 3/27/14

Oh god. I just read the original version of this post and did a major face-palm. Was I REALLY that annoying two years ago? Honestly, if that’s what I sounded like, I feel as though I need to apologize to anyone who had the misfortune of reading that initial post. Because:

So I’m going to try to escape with at least some dignity and delete the whole entry, but suffice it to say, this was the blog chain topic:

“What are examples of books you’ve thrown across the room with force? Why did you throw them?”

(I guess I was having a really bad week or something? I tend to hate being negative about books, so who knows what was up. I, for one, am too terrified to go into the mind of Former Me and find out.)

About John Hansen

I’m seventeen. I’m a YA writer, a nerdfighter, and a book geek, and I recently finished a year-and-a-half stint interning at the literary agency Foreword Literary (now Fuse Literary). I'm also a Game of Thrones and Lucille Bluth enthusiast, and my ultimate life question is, if you are what you eat, then does that mean I should eat a NYT bestselling author?

I just want to say that “tome” from http://weirdalocity.wordpress.com/ has already made sure to get the first spot. ;) Tomte, if you are using your other blog for the chain, please correct me now.

I like the idea! It’s actually great. We went from serious back to moderately amusing again–I like it a lot, mostly because numerous books come to mind.

I would like to participate, but is it too nit-picky to ask that I write my post a little later in the month? Like my last turn? Maybe fourth or fifth.

Or whatever. Whatever the rules are.

That’s fine. So is the 10th ok? And thanks. I’m glad you actually like it… :)

Yay! Love the topic, though I hate disliking books because people did so much work on them and it’s not fair to them… I should stop being so sensitive. Anyway, can I be the 11th?

    • John Hansen

Do you prefer that? The chain starts on the 5th, Pheris just needed a later date. If you need the 11th that’s fine but if not, I’ll book you for the 7th. Thanks. Glad you liked the topic.

Yes, actually. 11 is my lucky number, but whatever’s easiest for you.

Love it! Some books just infuriate me. That’ll be a lot of fun. Count me in!

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend this year’s blog chain. It was a stretch to even see this post. I’ve just got too much to do between now and February. I apologize.

Too bad… It’s okay, it’s better that you don’t force yourself to do too much. We hope you’ll come in February!

Tomte, since we are still trying to get people together, we don’t have a completed list yet. You’re welcome to write your post and all and just make room for the list when it’s ready, probably on Jan. 2nd.

The link in your profile doesn’t work but I searched your username and found this site. Is this the blog you’ll be using? http://laughablog.wordpress.com/
Anyway, how’s Jan 7th sound for you?

      • Hithere298
        December 24, 2011

Yep, that’s my blog! And the 7th sounds good for me.

And sorry about my link not working, I’ll try to get it fixed soon.

Can I be in? Any day except the 14th (I’m going to see the Nutcracker, yay!) or the 22nd (my birthday and the reason for going to see the Nutcracker) is fine, as far as I know. I don’t really know what I’m going to write about because I don’t tend to throw books. I don’t like bashing holes in walls. However, I’m sure I’ve got a story of *some* sort!

As for the commenting thing, I lapsed a bit halfway through this time, and then went back today and commented on all the ones I missed (apologies if I did miss anyone out. Just come yell at me and I will certainly call in). December is a bit of a busy month for most people, I think.
